  1. 1 Stringy

    Coastal Stack Formation
Because It actually looks like one I have seen and is very well modeled with great revision scope.

Thanks Stringy, I think it could have done with a more distinct wave cut notch and cave, but I’m picky! You’ll learn about this in Bangor!

  3. 3 Alan Parkinson

    I’ll go for the corrie.
The stack formation one is a bit ‘obvious’ - the corrie has potential to be shaped a bit more as the debris does it’s work - being clay, you could then fill it with water to show the lake that forms after the ice has gone…
    Nice work from everyone.

Good comment Alan, Peter’s corrie seems to be running away with it, with two votes, with one from Peter himself! Any other comments of favourites?

  5. 5 sally sumner

well a tough choice between two models for me, but I’ll go for Peter’s Corrie with Mikey’s coastal stack formation a close second.

Some great models ….. my year 11 would be shamed by your efforts!

    Well done

Thanks, it seems at the moment that Peter and Mikey are neck and neck.

It is time to reveal that I vote for Greg’s scree slope, I like the dragged top and the nature of the deposits!

Any more votes and comments are welcome!

  7. 7 Alan Parkinson

The scree slope was a close second for me. One of my old fieldtrip jokes is to stand next to one and say “can anyone talus what this is ?”

  8. 8 Tony_Cassidy

    oh dear! ;)

  9. 9 luke

erm 1 Ribbon Lake by Mitch and Matt

  10. 10 michael evans.

that scree slope is brilliant. ive got to hand it to greg. he gets my vote

kirstys spit is very good as well though.

  11. 11 Mitch

Myn nd matts is the best out of the bunch because we worked very hard on it and we explained in lots of detail (Cough) how it was formed nd tht stuff

  12. 12 Tony_Cassidy

Yes, Mitch the explained in detail needs a big - COUGH! ;)

Some excellent models - I think the best one is the scree slope (perhaps because I have a special affection for scree slopes… another story…). The coastal stack one is good, but as Alan says, maybe a bit obvious.

Great work though. I shall be trying this idea.

  14. 14 Tony_Cassidy

Thanks Geogtastic, I liked the scree slope, I’ve lost count now. I think it’s a three way race between Corrie, Scree and Stack now…

  15. 15 Rob Chambers

Oh er - its a difficult one - I like the erosion of headland and spit ones actually - but I must admit I like the scree slope as well - what a tough decision!! I think I’ll opt out of voting but just say well done to all - great idea - will help to visualise the features and processes involved in their formation during revision I’m sure!

  16. 16 Tony_Cassidy

Thanks for the comment, very diplomatic! :)

  17. 17 amy brock

very nice!! why couldn’t we do something like that when i was in your class!!!!!!!!!!

  18. 18 Tony_Cassidy

Times and technology have changed… ;)
