I remember when it was Hucknall’s local bank and was called the Midland, as shown in this advert from the 80’s.
I have a picture of me and some university mates sitting on one of the famous Midland sofas. Now it’s part of a multi-national, so is local to many… 9,500 offices in 76 countries.
