Interesting article on the BBC website about how one in ten attempts on Everest leads to death. Perhaps another way in which our perceptions of extreme environments have changed, but the extremity of the environment persists. The leader of the article suggests
‘People are still dying on Mount Everest, despite improved technology and a better understanding of the harsh environment.’

i want to atempt it some day, i dont think ill go all the way, depends, ive always wanted to be a mountain climber. (if your wondering why ive made about 1000000 posts tonight is becuse im bored, and ive just started feeling better, my infection is going, i just hope it doesnt come back) but i do love mountain climbing, its inspireing, by the way, im still wanting to do three peaks, but mite have to skip snowdon, dont know yet.
